A House Church is a smaller community of believers (of all ages!) that takes worship into the week as they walk alongside each other and live life together, marked by fellowship, discussion, and spiritual growth with people you love.
Receive a new identity
Discipled knowing that you are made in God's image
A space for You—at any age and stage of faith
We were made for relationships. At Our Story Church, we are focused on forming a community that becomes our family. At all ages, we do best when we are surrounded by people who encourage us in our faith walk, who speak into our lives, and show up when we need support. This is what we are about—transformation through God in community grounded in God's goodness and love.

Our Wonder Holders ministry comes alongside the little ones with nurturing and play to help them know that God exists, understand that they are God’s children, and believe that God is good and that they are loved.

The Image Holders ministry is focused on creativity and play, so that our children can know God’s story, receive their identity as God’s children made in His image, and experience a relationship with God and others in community.

Story Holders recognizes the intelligence of our youth and the need for community so they can receive God’s story as their own, ask the big questions that God can answer, and experience trust in God and others in community.
House church
Small-group discipleship is part of the Wesleyan heritage, rooted in John Wesley's class meetings. We continue this tradition at Our Story Church to foster spiritual formation.
A House Church is a smaller community of believers who take worship into the week as they walk alongside one another to pursue spiritual growth and live life together.
That depends on your group! Some meet in a home, some meet at the church building, and others may meet in a different location entirely. It is about selecting a space that meets the needs of your House Church. Some may meet over a meal together, and some may meet at a playground to let the kids play. There is no one way for a House Church to meet. Your group may find that rotating locations works well, such as taking turns meeting at different houses so that no one person hosts each time.
House Churches typically meet once per week, though your group may skip a week here or there based on your needs. The seasons of meeting run from September through December, with a brief winter break. Resume mid-January through May, followed by a summer break.
House Churches can look any way! This can be a mixed-gender and mixed-age group to facilitate learning across generations and genders.
Each week, House Churches will be provided with discussion questions to facilitate continued spiritual learning and practical application of that week’s worship message. This provides an opportunity to deepen understanding and experience authentic communication with other believers. The discussion questions may include supplemental materials such as a video, and occasionally, House Churches may be provided with short-term studies for specific areas of growth as disciples.
It can be a great way to connect casually with others in the community who may not feel comfortable entering a church building or participating in Sunday worship. A House Church offers a less intimidating way to invite them over for a meal and discussion. This may bridge the way for people to experience community and ask questions in an approachable way. House Churches are also structured to offer a flexible schedule, making them ideal for individuals with limited time in their week who still wish to connect with the church. However, these small groups are not meant to replace corporate worship; instead, they serve as a resource of support during the week and a model of continued worship in all aspects of our lives.
From infant to teen – FOStering a new story
Learning God’s Story as Wonder Holders | Beginning at 6 months, babies become Wonder Holders. Parents can expect free play, crafts and activities, diaper changes, and simple snacks to be part of their child’s time at church. Short lessons are offered each Sunday to focus on sharing the 3 core goals at this age range:
To know that God exists,
Understand that I am God’s Child,
Believe that God is good & I am loved.
Lessons are repeated each year so that your child KNOWS God’s story and that they are loved by the time they enter kindergarten.
KNOWING | BEGINNING | KINGDOM OWNERS | LOVE
We aim to launch this ministry in February of 2026. Stay tuned as we release details! For now, children ages 3 and under are asked to remain with their parents during service. Please know that we LOVE the sound of children, so if your child cries or talks during service, this is no issue. We are a community of believers across all ages and recognize that this includes children, who add to the service!
Adopting God’s Story as Image Holders | Beginning in kindergarten, children become Image Holders. Parents can expect organized activities that move bodies and encourage creativity while learning and worshipping. Time on Sunday will focus on engaging the 3 core goals at this age range:
To know God’s story,
Receive my identity as God’s child made in His image,
Experience a relationship with God & others in community.
New themes are offered each year so that your child BELONGS in God’s story and is in awe of who their Savior is by the time they enter middle school.
BELONGING | GROWING | RELATIONSHIP | AWE
Children join parents for the beginning of the service to experience corporate worship and are dismissed before the Sunday teaching. They will then have a 25-minute teaching focused on learning the Heart of God for 2026, with an interactive Scripture lesson featuring crafts and games to help them integrate what they discussed that Sunday. Children will return to corporate worship for communion with the entire body of Christ gathered at the table, and for a final worship song with their parents.
Embodying God’s Story as Story Holders | Beginning at the 6th grade, youth become Story Holders. Parents can expect free time and games for youth to form community, joining one another for a meal, and then engaging in worship and discussion. Time together will focus on exploring the 3 core goals at this age range:
To receive God’s story as my story,
Ask & explore the big questions that God can answer,
Have safety and trust in a relationship with God & others in the community.
Youth help direct learning on topics they want to cover to BECOME a part of God’s story as seekers and adopters of their faith by the time they enter college.
BECOMING | ASKING | RELIANCE | TRUST
