Receive a new identity

Discipled knowing that you are made in God's image

A space for You – at any age and stage of faith

We were made for relationships. At Our Story Church, we are focused on forming a community that becomes our family. At all ages, we do best when we are surrounded by people who encourage us in our faith walk, who speak into our lives, and show up when we need support. This is what we are about–transformation through God in community grounded in God's goodness and love.

A House Church is a smaller community of believers (of all ages!) that takes worship into the week as they walk alongside each other and live life together, marked by fellowship, discussion, and spiritual growth with people you love.

Our Wonder Holders ministry comes alongside the little ones with nurturing and play to help them know that God exists, understand that they are God’s children, and believe that God is good and that they are loved.

The Image Holders ministry is focused on creativity and play, so that our children can know God’s story, receive their identity as God’s children made in His image, and experience a relationship with God and others in community.

House church

Small group discipleship is a part of the Wesleyan heritage, founded in John Wesley's class meetings. We continue this tradition at Our Story Church to foster

A House Church is a smaller community of believers who take worship into the week as they walk alongside one another to pursue spiritual growth and live life together.

That depends on your group! Some meet in a home, some meet at the church building, and others may meet in a different location entirely. It is about selecting a space that meets the needs of your House Church. Some may meet over a meal together, and some may meet at a playground to let the kids play. There is no one way for a House Church to meet. Your group may find that rotating locations works well, such as taking turns meeting at different houses so that no one person hosts each time.

House Churches typically meet once per week, though your group may skip a week here or there based on your needs. The seasons of meeting run from September through December, with a brief winter break. Resume mid-January through May, followed by a summer break.

House Churches can look any way! This can be a mixed-gender and mixed-age group to facilitate learning across generations and genders.

Each week, House Churches will be provided with discussion questions to facilitate continued spiritual learning and practical application of that week’s worship message. This provides an opportunity to deepen understanding and experience authentic communication with other believers. The discussion questions may include supplemental materials such as a video, and occasionally, House Churches may be provided with short-term studies for specific areas of growth as disciples.

It can be a great way to connect casually with others in the community who may not feel comfortable entering a church building or participating in Sunday worship. A House Church offers a less intimidating way to invite them over for a meal and discussion. This may bridge the way for people to experience community and ask questions in an approachable way. House Churches are also structured to offer a flexible schedule, making them ideal for individuals with limited time in their week who still wish to connect with the church. However, these small groups are not meant to replace corporate worship; instead, they serve as a resource of support during the week and a model of continued worship in all aspects of our lives.
